The grill of fate (#NaPo_Wrimo)

The old man, tired of life

Languishing lavishly;

Looking at people…

Overwhelmed with the same life,

That taught him a lesson…

He learned it the hard way,

After all, he was poor

What could he do?

I’m a bystander,

I see him from the other side;

His side is black and white,

Mine, the colors are fading.

But why the hell am I even complaining?

I guess it’s just human tendency…

I’m a bypasser,

The sun hits my eyes too;

Like yourself;

But a little lighter-

Because I have sunglasses…

You don’t, you would never.

But he has no one to complain to,

God has left him eons ago;

He himself too…

His life passes by,

Just like all the speeding vehicles, he counts

Every day, all day…

Between us lies the thick grill of fate.
