As the year ends, we look at everything worthwhile that we have achieved. I tried to be as regular in blogging as possible, and the results showed. I gained many followers, improved my view count, reached so many countries and last but never the least, felt satisfied writing and sharing my content online (however bad … Continue reading A big thank you (to all my readers)!
“How much does this assault rifle cost?” “Well, we're having a heavy discount this season. Only one-third of your soul and a half of your conscience and you're ready to go.”
“No”, was all she could reply. She could not think of anything else than this, dancing to the folklore has been her passion and everything in her life till this date meant this thing. Be it risky as it was, but she was clearly against transition. For her, the nascent had no meaning. Bhagyashree therefore knowingly kicked the opportunity away. In addition, who would look after her mother when she was gone?
They were almost on the verge of completing six months of living together coupled with being in a relationship and on one such fateful night, she was en-route to her mother’s place when halfway through her journey she realized, she’d forgotten an important gift she purchased for her mother weeks ago. On reaching the apartment where they both resided, she found it was locked from the inside. Margaret called an umpteen number of times before her knock took the form of banging, suddenly the door swung open and there ‘her Ben’ stood, stark naked with a particular dominatrix at his feet begging for mercy. Clad in the symbolic latex, she was badly bleeding from her nose and mouth, terrified of the suddenness of events.
Margaret gasped putting her right hand on her mouth and looked at Ben, ‘her Ben’.
Sheetal is from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan which was in a state of political and social turmoil. The agenda revolving the turmoil was women empowerment and education. The whole state was known to be the most male chauvinist state among all the Indian states. Sheetal worked against the status-quo and look at her state today! Running, as fast as she could from potential death bringers but she was not afraid for herself, a little maybe but what she feared most was the work which she did for the last five years, secretly arranging meetings, teaching women to read, rebel, and rise against all injustice meted out to them.
Seldom have I seen a boy of my age (17 yrs.) with so much intellect and natural reasoning as his. He has an excellent logical ability and reasoning which may be compared to any world-class detective. The boy I’m referring to is Zaid and he prefers to be called ‘Z’ in short. “Sounds sexy” is his standard reply if anybody asks why. His dream was to become a detective and he literally ate, slept and drank detective novels throughout the world of varying writers. Hercule Poirot, Sherlock Holmes, Feluda, Byomkesh Bokshi, Shawn Spencer, Thomas Magnum was among his private investigator heroes, but he adored Clouseau from Pink Panther as well. I am just his best friend stealing a chance to write down some good detective stories (based on true events of course!).
9) A three-line paradox-
Hopeless infatuation leads to scars.
Scars beget scars.
Only the truest love can heal those scars.
It was the last day of the week and the last working day of the month. Very rarely the two coincided. Salary was credited on the morning itself, but the opportunity to spend somewhat extravagantly would not arrive until after work. I decided to indulge in some good whiskey, cigarettes, Chicken Manchurian and Chicken noodles.
