Topsy-Turvy

They were almost on the verge of completing six months of living together coupled with being in a relationship and on one such fateful night, she was en-route to her mother’s place when halfway through her journey she realized, she’d forgotten an important gift she purchased for her mother weeks ago. On reaching the apartment where they both resided, she found it was locked from the inside. Margaret called an umpteen number of times before her knock took the form of banging, suddenly the door swung open and there ‘her Ben’ stood, stark naked with a particular dominatrix at his feet begging for mercy. Clad in the symbolic latex, she was badly bleeding from her nose and mouth, terrified of the suddenness of events.

Changing the Status-Quo

Sheetal is from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan which was in a state of political and social turmoil. The agenda revolving the turmoil was women empowerment and education. The case of the unattempted suicide

Seldom have I seen a boy of my age (17 yrs.) with so much intellect and natural reasoning as his. He has an excellent logical ability and reasoning which may be compared to any world-class detective. The boy I’m referring to is Zaid and he prefers to be called ‘Z’ in short. “Sounds sexy” is his standard reply if anybody asks why. His dream was to become a detective and he literally ate, slept and drank detective novels throughout the world of varying writers. Hercule Poirot, Sherlock Holmes, Feluda, Byomkesh Bokshi, Shawn Spencer, Thomas Magnum was among his private investigator heroes, but he adored Clouseau from Pink Panther as well. I am just his best friend stealing a chance to write down some good detective stories (based on true events of course!).

5_minute_story-VIII

It was the last day of the week and the last working day of the month. Very rarely the two coincided. Salary was credited on the morning itself, but the opportunity to spend somewhat extravagantly would not arrive until after work. I decided to indulge in some good whiskey, cigarettes, Chicken Manchurian and Chicken noodles.
